Country music icon Dolly Parton recently expressed her disdain for "greedy politicians" and made it clear that she has no interest in running for office.

In an interview with BBC News, Parton discussed her thoughts on the current state of the world and her reluctance to delve into politics.

Parton revealed that she was inspired to address the issues of today through her music. "In the middle of the night, I wake up with this song in my mind, and I just felt the need to address what's going on in the world today, my feelings and thoughts about it," she explained.

Despite her powerful voice and influence, Parton emphasized that she does not consider herself to be political. "I use my powerful voice, hopefully, in the right way," she added.

The singer also touched on the importance of acceptance and open-mindedness. "I accept and love everybody," Parton stated.

When asked if she has ever been tempted to enter the political arena, Parton firmly responded, "No." She expressed her aversion to politics and stated that it is the last thing she would consider.

“It’s not politics, I do make that statement, you know — don’t get me started on politics, how we live in a world like this, greedy politicians, present and past, wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them.”

Parton's strong stance against politicians who she believes are disconnected from the truth is evident in her statement: "Greedy politicians, present and past, wouldn't know the truth if it bit them."

In a lighthearted moment, the interviewer asked if there would ever come a time when Parton would announce her candidacy for office. The country star playfully replied, "No. I'm running from office."

Parton's recent comments echo her previous sentiments about politics.

As reported by Breitbart News, during a Christmas special last year, Parton performed her hit song "Go to Hell" and boldly proclaimed, "Satan is real." This performance showcased her willingness to address controversial topics and her refusal to shy away from expressing her beliefs.

While Parton may not be interested in pursuing a political career, her powerful voice and influence continue to resonate with fans worldwide.
