One victim says, "Robert Hadden is a sexual predator disguised in a white coat."

Victims come forward to explain why a New York City gynecologist has been convicted and awaits sentencing.

The former New York City doctor worked at well-known, prominent hospitals from the late 1980s until 2012. During that time, women accused the 64-year-old of secuallly abusing them, and he was convicted. During that time, Hadden worked with hospitals that included New York Presbyterian and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Judge Richard M. Burman heard statements from multiple victims who described the pain each had endured due to Hadden's abuse. Many victims chose to speak anonymously, as they described in detail the sexual abuse they experienced while in the care of Hadden.

One of the victims used Emily Anderson as her pseudonym and told Judge Berman, "Robert Hadden is a sexual predator disguised in a white coat." Another victim who worked at Columbia University Irving Medical Center as a research nurse stated she hopes Hadden gets incarcerated for the rest of his life. The victims pled with the judge to keep Hadden in prison for as long as possible.

The state says abusing women began soon after Hadden started working in 1987 at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, now known as New York Presbyterian Hospital. During the trial, proof showed that Hadden had committed an estimated 167 to 310 acts involving sexual abuse or assault involving dozens of patients.

Hadden's defense attorneys are requesting a lighter sentence of three years behind bars citing the Hadden's loss of weight, the consistent threats he has received while incarcerated, and that he does not leave his cell except to shower or make phone calls.
