Last year, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis made worldwide news when he had 49 illegal aliens transported by plane to Martha's Vineyard.

The ultra-elite island, known for its liberal stance, is home to the ultra-rich, such as former President Obama, who has a $12 million residence on Martha's Vineyard.

Breitbart reports that of the 49 illegal aliens flown to the island per DeSantis, only four remain, according to the New York Times.

From The Times:

"It has been nine months since the government of Florida, under the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis, chartered two flights from Texas that picked up Ms. Cauro and 48 other newly arrived migrants and dropped them off on Martha's Vineyard, a liberal enclave that until then had little firsthand experience with the surge in migration on the U.S. and Mexico Border."

Soon after the 49 illegals arrived, a "humanitarian crisis" was declared by officials on Martha's Vineyard. Republican Governor Charlie Baker followed up by busing nearly all the new arrivals to Joint Base Cape Cod. Many of the original 49 have relocated to other locations since that time.

A local official said, "At some point in time, they have to move from here to somewhere else." That sentiment goes along with the results of the 2020 presidential election when the island's elite voted 84 percent for Democrat Joe Biden, which made the point that the island's elite hold a deep blue status.

According to the New York Times, of the 49 illegal aliens flown to Martha's Island, only four remained. One is Ms. Cauro, a landscaper, her brother Daniel and her cousin Eliud Aguilar. All have found employment since their arrival.

The Times also went so far as to claim there were "no places for" illegal aliens to stay in Martha's Vineyard. Last year, Breitbart News found information to the contrary. The news outlet found that, if necessary, there was more than enough housing to accommodate six million illegal aliens. The News outlet also researched Vrbo and Airbnb listings, which showed plenty of vacant beachfront estates were available during the fall and winter that could have housed the 49 illegal aliens.

Another piece of information reported by Breitbart News is that taxpayers are paying for the resources provided to the illegal aliens during their short time on Martha's Vineyard. The federal government is reimbursing an NGO (non-governmental organization) that provides the resources, and American taxpayers are footing the bill.
