Republican Cory Mills is an Army veteran and Florida Congressman fighting to end the absurd DEI agenda in the military.

He’s one of many people that feels the nation’s defenses should focus on preparation instead of pronouns. Now, he’s fighting to stop it once and hopefully for all.

Mills recently spoke with Fox News Digital regarding the matter. Mills claims the military is weaker because of the diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives. He says the military spends too much time addressing these issues and not enough time on essential matters, such as ensuring they have the right equipment.

Fox News says, “Mills’ amendment to this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would disband the committee, which was created after a 2021 executive order by President Biden to promote “diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility” in the federal government. A House Foreign Relations bill markup has been sent to the full House to debate.”

These criticisms from the right come amid the military’s recruiting crisis. Some blame the DEI initiative for hurting recruitment. Mills says that not only is it hurting recruitment, but it will also hurt retention and result in fewer volunteers.

Mills is one of several GOP lawmakers that wants to eliminate DEI agendas from the military. Jim Banks recently boasted that they had made strides in this department. According to Fox News, “We passed my amendments slashing DEI bureaucrats, banning race and gender quotas in military recruiting and promotions, reinstating unvaccinated service members fired by the Biden administration, and shutting down the Navy’s drag queen digital ambassador program, and we passed provisions to defund critical race theory courses at West Point, and our service academies, [fired] the chief diversity officer at the DOD and [ended] drag shows at our military bases.”

Banks and several other lawmakers are doing whatever they can to get the military to prioritize combat readiness instead of pronouns. Then, they will use whatever opportunity they can to eliminate this agenda from federal agencies.
