At the annual Lilac Luncheon hosted by the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women, former President Donald Trump outlined an array of critical issues that he believes the United States confronts ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections.

Trump expressed concern over what he called the "Biden border crisis," which he sees as intricately linked to the nation's problems with drug and Fentanyl use. "The Biden border crisis is also a drug and fentanyl crisis," he said. He cited his administration's reduction of drug overdose deaths in New Hampshire by 18%, adding, "Now that's good, but we could do better." Trump criticized the inefficiency of committees, arguing that more drastic measures, like implementing the death penalty for drug dealers, could be effective solutions.

"We had some great generals, not all of them are like the television guys, the guys you see on television, they are not the best," Trump said as he lauded the defeat of ISIS during his administration. He proposed deploying the U.S. Navy to impose a complete naval embargo and cartel trafficking, explicitly addressing the severe drug problem in New Hampshire. He implored the state's governor to take more decisive action on this issue.

The former President also addressed a contentious issue - the teaching of sexual orientation and gender ideology in schools. He pledged to sign an executive order to cut federal funding for schools that push what he terms as "critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children."

Trump affirmed his stand against allowing men to compete in women's sports, promising to sign a law prohibiting "child sexual mutilation" across the country. "I'm going to sign a law to prohibit child sexual mutilation. Can you imagine saying that 15 years ago?" he said, expressing his disbelief at the present social dynamics.

The former President depicted a grim picture of the current economy. "The USA is a mess, our economy is crashing, inflation is out of control," he stated. He mentioned threats from international adversaries and expressed concern over the potential downfall of the U.S... dollar as the world's standard currency. Trump said this would be the country's "single greatest defeat" in two centuries.

Emphasizing his vision of a national resurgence, Trump argued that the current crises would not be replicated if he returned to office. The former President criticized the Biden administration and previous leaders for what he perceived as damaging the nation. "Nobody's done damage to this country like this," he said.

He also pledged to dismantle the Deep State, asserting that it had obstructed his administration and tried to subvert his 2020 election campaign. "When I am back in the Oval Office, I will totally obliterate the Deep State. I will appoint a REAL special prosecutor to investigate the Biden Bribery Ring. We will achieve complete independence from China," he declared.

Trump's rhetoric at the Lilac Luncheon suggested that he sees the upcoming elections as a battle between his vision of America and what he perceives as a politically corrupt establishment. His commitment to eradicate this alleged corruption and to place America first demonstrates his continued appeal to his core supporters, who resonate with his populist approach and his claims of being an outsider in the political arena. Whether this will secure him a spot in the White House remains to be seen as the 2024 presidential race heats up.
