Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden, is ready to admit guilt to two federal misdemeanors about failing to fulfill his income tax obligations, as revealed by a court document on Tuesday.

The charges against Hunter Biden include intentional income tax evasion and having a firearm as a consumer or dependant of illicit substances, according to the filing by the United States District Court in Delaware. He has agreed to a pretrial diversion agreement. This judicial arrangement can potentially result in the dismissal of the related charge if the defendant adheres to the conditions set for a particular period.

NBC News, quoting two confidential sources close to the matter, reported that David Weiss, U.S. Attorney for Delaware, has consented to suggest probation for Hunter Biden's tax evasion offenses. Weiss, appointed by former President Donald Trump, was allowed to continue in his role to persist in the ongoing investigation into President Biden's son after the change in administration.
