Former President Trump And GOP Leaders Embrace New Tactic To Take On Dems In 2024

Aimed at defeating Joe Biden and his party in the 2024 election, the industry encourages Republican voters to cast as many votes as possible before Election Day.

The campaign pushed out across all 56 states and territories, signals a new, more inclusive strategy on mail-in and early voting from the GOP. Before this, the party hesitated to endorse such practices, but now they embrace them.

Former President Donald Trump, among other GOP primary candidates, had hinted at this change in strategy. During his speech at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), he highlighted the party's shift in tactics.

"We have to beat the Democrats at their own game," Trump declared to the audience. He underscored the need for Republicans to utilize every legal means available to win elections, stating, "That means swamping the left with mail-in votes, early votes, and Election Day votes."

The "Bank Your Vote" initiative follows on the heels of the defeat of Kari Lake's election claim earlier this May. In a subsequent press conference, Lake, one of the most vocal advocates for protecting the voting system, showed her resilience and determination.

She expressed her resolute stance: "We're going to start rolling up our sleeves and playing by the same rules [Democrats] play by." Lake was not daunted, saying, "And when you get a fed-up mom who plays by those rules, watch out, because we're not letting this happen again."

She accepted the current voting environment by adding, "While you know how I feel about mail-in ballots. If this is the game we have to play, if we gotta play in their rigged system, we'll play in their rigged system."

Lake's sentiments, shared by many within the party, have now been formalized into the "Bank Your Vote" initiative. The GOP is adapting its approach to voting procedures and encouraging its members to engage fully in the system, regardless of past reservations about mail-in and early voting.

It is essential to note that any engagement with voting must remain lawful. Federal law stipulates that voter fraud is committed if an individual knowingly provides false information during voter registration, accepts something of value in return for a vote, or votes multiple times in a single election.
