On Wednesday, Fox News Digital attempted to get the viewpoints of various lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, on a recent incident involving transgender activists at the White House.

The legislators were asked for their reactions to the incident, which included an exhibition of bare breasts by male-to-female transgender activists during a Pride Month event held at the White House.

Both Democratic Representatives, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Pramila Jayapal of Washington, declined to comment. Their colleague, Rep. Haley Stevens of Michigan, also refused to offer an opinion when Fox News Digital asked for an off-camera response.

In contrast, Republicans were more forthcoming in expressing their views on the incident. Indiana Representative, Jim Banks, voiced his opinion to Fox News Digital, stating, "I've rarely seen anything as unbecoming or inappropriate." He further criticized the spectacle, expressing concern over the message it sends to young viewers.

"Bare-chested men and women celebrating in a way that is not just disgusting, it forecasts, and it teaches our kids something so antithetical to what they should see on TV or in the media, and in this case in front of the White House," Banks explained.

Banks expressed disappointment at the defacement of one of the world's most potent symbols, the White House. He found it disgraceful that such images were broadcast worldwide, not just to American children. Despite his relief at the White House's denouncement of the incident and disinvitation of the activists from future events, he wondered why they were ever invited in the first place.

Banks continued his criticism, pointing out the disrespectful display of the United States flag at the event. He stated, "And, you saw the sheer disrespect of the United States flag in the background at the White House with the gay pride flag elevated in between two of our United States of America flags." The Republican representative from Indiana linked the disrespectful behavior towards the flag to disregarding the White House and America.

Another outspoken critic of the event was Florida Republican Representative Michael Waltz, a former Green Beret. He criticized President Biden for commending the activists as the bravest individuals he had ever encountered. Waltz lamented the administration's misplaced priorities: "My heroes wear camouflage, not capes or rainbow flags."

Fellow Florida Republican Kat Cammack echoed his sentiments. Speaking to Fox News Digital, she emphasized the need to respect the institutions the D.C. complex represents. Expressing her disappointment at the incident, Cammack said, "Total disregard for decency, I am very, very disappointed that the White House invited them."

Similarly, Representative Greg Steube, R-Fla., expressed his disgust at the incident, criticizing President Biden for allowing such conduct at the White House. He considered it a gross display of unprofessionalism that contradicts the standards the White House should uphold.

The controversial incident occurred during a Saturday Pride Month event at the White House. Male-to-female transgender activist Rose Montoya, and another unidentified transgender activist, a biological female, bared their breasts on the South Lawn with the White House visible behind them. Montoya, a TikTok influencer, uploaded a video from the event, causing uproar on social media.

The video included an interaction with President Biden, where Montoya, standing next to the President, can be heard saying, "It's an honor, Mr. President. Trans rights are human rights."

In response to the public backlash, a White House spokesperson issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the activists' behavior and banning them from future White House events. The statement read, "This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House. It is not reflective.

We hosted the event to celebrate LGBTQI+ families and the other hundreds of guests in attendance. Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events."

Despite this assertion, the controversial video has continued to stir up a storm on social media, with many users expressing outrage at the perceived desecration of the White House. As the discussion continues, it becomes clear that this incident has intensified the heated debate over transgender rights and representation in America.
