House Speaker Kevin McCarthy criticized the media on Tuesday for failing to ask President Joe Biden about his document scandal.

During a press conference in the Capitol, McCarthy questioned the reporters about Biden's illegal retention of classified documents. He asked if anyone had ever asked the current President why he had a classified document outside of the sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) from his Senate days. McCarthy pointed out that Biden reportedly had documents with "SCI" markings stashed at the Penn Biden Center, which should have only been viewed in a SCIF and never removed.

McCarthy expressed his frustration that no one had asked him about the current President's classified documents or why he would even have a classified document as a senator. He challenged the reporters, asking if they found it concerning that Biden had these documents outside the SCIF. When a reporter tried to defend Biden by claiming he had turned over the papers, McCarthy noted that Biden's attorneys had been coy about the details. The documents were only found after classified documents were discovered at Mar-a-Lago.

McCarthy's concern stems from the fact that many of the alleged facts in the Trump indictment could be read as if they apply to Biden. Commentator Marc Thiessen explained on Fox News that almost everything in the first dozen pages of the charge could be used to Joe Biden. Thiessen read directly from the indictment to prove his point.

It is important to note that Biden's attorneys have not provided details about the documents found at the Penn Biden Center. The fact that they were marked with "SCI" raises questions about why they were not kept in a SCIF. McCarthy's questions highlight the need for journalists to investigate this issue further and hold the current administration accountable for any potential wrongdoing.
