Pro-Life Advocates BRUTALLY Beaten, Baltimore Police Ask For Public's Help To Identify Assailant

The authorities have made public photographs of the individual believed to be responsible for the physical attack, according to WMAR2 News.

Video footage of the confrontation, obtained by the Baltimore City Police, features the suspected assailant — a bearded Caucasian man with brown hair. During the incident, the suspect is seen wearing a grey t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. Metro Crime Stoppers has announced a reward of $2,000 for information that could lead to the suspect's arrest.

The victims of the assault, as identified by local pro-life advocate John Roswell in an email to LifeSiteNews, were Dick Schafer, 73, and Mark Crosby, 80. The duo was attacked outside the North Baltimore Planned Parenthood located on N. Howard Street. The attack led to severe injuries to both men; photographs acquired by the pro-life outlet highlight the facial trauma.

Roswell conveyed that Schafer was "recovering at home" while Crosby had to be hospitalized. Crosby's injuries were particularly severe, with Roswell detailing, "Crosby's 'plate bone in his upper right cheek is completely fractured,' and he 'is bleeding from some unidentified area behind his eye and the bone eye orbit is completely shattered and will have to be replaced with metal."

In response to the horrifying event, a GoFundMe campaign was set up by Dr. Jay Walton, the President of Baltimore County Right to Life. The crowdfunding effort to cover Crosby's medical expenses has raised $41,881 by June 8, far surpassing the initial goal of $10,000.

Walton poignantly wrote on the page, "For years, Mark has prayed in front of the Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City to let the scared, young abortion-minded women know that they are loved, that their baby is loved."

Surveillance footage from the site displayed the suspect instigating the incident by speaking aggressively to one of the victims, then pushing him and causing him to fall over a flower pot, as per the local news outlet's description. Mark Crosby tried to intervene, only to be pushed to the ground himself. As he lay on his back, the suspect was seen landing a punch on his face. Before leaving the scene, the suspect reportedly kicked Crosby in the face with what police termed as 'extreme force.'

The incident was reportedly witnessed by at least three people, who the police have since interviewed.
