A 35-year-old woman out of Washington state has been arrested for many alleged crimes involving minors.

The woman told Clallam County Jail staff she identifies as a 15-year-old and as a boy. Prior to her arrest, she told a police officer that "she feels like teenagers 'understand' her better" and that "she 'identifies' better with teenage kids.

Amanda Dorrough, who goes by "Taz," was arrested for the "unlawful harboring of minors." She also provided drugs and alcohol to the runaways. Police uncovered a plan by Dorrough to flee Seattle, according to the Port Angeles Police Department.

Their report states that they saw three teenagers "running through the parking lot away from Dorrough's apartment." An officer heard movement from inside the suspect's apartment, but no one came to the door. After repeated attempts by the officer failed to contact whoever was inside the apartment, the report noted that the officer then went to the gully, where students reportedly hung out with Dorrough.
