Sen. Josh Hawley R-Mo. spoke with Fox News about why he believes Biden is not fit to be President and why he believes Donald Trump will be the 2024 G.O.P. nominee for President.

He did so on the same day Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced he would enter the 2024 race.

The Missouri Senator wished all the G.O.P. candidates good luck in the upcoming primary battle. Still, he also offered his view that former President Trump would be the nominee for the Republican Party once again. In an interview with Fox News Digital, he went as far as to say that he believes that Trump receiving the nomination is "inevitable."

Hawley said, "And that's not against anybody else," and "I just think that Trump is going to be the nominee, and Biden's going to be the nominee of the other party."

He added, "And I can tell you I know where I am in that matchup."

Lawsuits and litigation that former President Trump has been facing recently don't seem to have harmed Trump in his campaign for President. Hawley argued that these things might have done exactly the opposite. Senator Hawley said: "I think, you know — Bragg, the Manhattan D.A., coming after him in what I think is a blatantly illegal manner — I think he's just consolidated his support."

The Senator said, "I think he's going to be the nominee. It's going to be Trump and Biden — and I know where I'm going to be." Hawley argued that the challenge for the next person who occupies the White House, regardless of who that is, will be to "make America strong."

Senator Hawley continued his opinions by saying: "I mean, you look at what this president has done," and "Joe Biden has made us dependent on China. He's made China rich. He's made America poor." He said, "We have seen blue-collar wages in this country decline, decline, decline. We see families unable to make ends meet."

Hawley continues to say that the biggest thing that the next President can do is work on creating a situation where we can count on the country being built up. He believes it is necessary to see someone in that office who will take the job seriously and professionally complete the work.
