According to a report from the Daily Mail, a Florida restaurant owner has decided to sever ties with Bud Light.

The reason is the company’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a trans influencer.

Grills Restaurant owner, Joe Penovich, stated that, in good conscience, he could no longer serve Bud Light because the company’s affiliation with Mulvaney was in "direct opposition" to his "biblical faith."

Penovich has owned and operated Grills Restaurant for two decades. He said the decision was not easy and was made “with many tears for this circumstance and what we see as corporate greed and a deeper spiritual reality coming upon this world.”

A letter outlining the restaurant chain’s issues was sent to Anheuser-Busch and will be available to the public.

The Grills announcement is just one of several, with detractors on one side and supporters on the other. In one social media post, Grills staff is accused of throwing away Bud Light cans while the manager commented, “We don’t sell f..t beer.

Penovich denies the accusations, saying, “Myself, management, and our employees are devastated by the fact that this post deeply hurt members of the gay community and our employees that we have cared about and treated with the same non-judgmental respect we have given everyone for over 25 years.”

Penovich continued, “There is no judgment in our heart concerning those who believe in these rapidly changing social values.”

The New York Post notes both pro and con comments. Several supporters were quick to post, offering support for Penovich and thanking him for standing up and speaking out for the so-called “silent majority.” Another poster said, “The hate will eventually disappear, and your business will be blessed! According to the New York Post, other posts could have been more kind. One person said, “I’m shocked and saddened that our world is now one where a business owner can openly spew this kind of hatred and then pretend to be the victim.”

Another poster added, “Instead of being a loving and accepting person as Christ would want you to be, you are cherry-picking parts of the Bible and throwing a fit over an ad campaign.”

On Yelp, the popular business review and social networking site, a poster said, “I do not tolerate bigots, racists or trans/homophobes in my everyday life, and I refuse to eat at ANY establishment that does!”

The Daily Mail reports a recent poll of 1,041 adults showed 54 percent supported boycotting Anheuser-Busch while 30 percent were opposed.
