Victoria Jackson, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," delivered a heated speech at a city council meeting in Franklin, Tennessee, on Tuesday.

She spoke about the council's discussion about hosting a gay pride parade. Jackson, 63, took to the podium to voice her belief that Franklin should not celebrate the gay community, stating that God "hates" homosexuality, sodomy, sexual immorality, and pride.

In her speech, Jackson cited Bible verses, including Proverbs 11:12 and Proverbs 16:18, to support her argument that pride is detested by God. She also pointed to the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, which she claims were destroyed by God as proof of his condemnation of sodomy, sexual immorality, and pride.

“Proverbs 11:12: When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished,” Jackson continued. “Proverbs 16:18: Pride goes before and Sodom and Gomorrah proves that God hates sodomy, and sexual immorality and pride,” she said of the destroyed, wicked biblical cities. “And it’s still there, and archaeologists have uncovered it.”

Jackson concluded her speech by encouraging the current generation not to be "brainwashed" and directing them to watch videos by YouTuber Becket Cook, who has documented his journey from gay atheist to Christian. The Post has reached out to a representative for Jackson for comment.

According to a story from The Post, Jackson was a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1992. She left the show to play a Vegas showgirl opposite George Clooney on a proposed sitcom, but the networks did not pick it up. In 2007, she joined a conservative Hollywood group called Friends of Abe and later ran as an independent candidate for a seat on a county commission in Tennessee in 2014, though her bid was unsuccessful.

Jackson's political and religious beliefs have been controversial, leading to accusations of being blacklisted from showbiz gigs. She has publicly accused former President Barack Obama of being an "Islamic jihadist" and criticized the FOX drama "Glee" for showing a "sickening" gay kiss between two male actors. In recent years, Jackson has also expressed disappointment in the current state of "Saturday Night Live," claiming that the show now pushes a far-left agenda to indoctrinate a new generation.

Jackson's comments at the city council meeting have elicited mixed reactions on social media, with some condemning her views as hateful and others expressing sadness at her apparent shift in beliefs.
