There is some troubling language from Steven Van Zandt, the band guitarist for Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street.

Breitbart reports that Zandt called his fans on social media to “exterminate the GOP cockroaches.”.

This call came at the expense of roughly half of America and was just part of an expletive-heavy tirade on social media.

The rant began with Zandt discussing the following on social media: “Republican White Supremacist scumbag cowards and pussies that need guns to feel like real men.”

He was referring to the recent situation in which two Democrat lawmakers in Tennessee were expelled from their jobs after they led a protest inside the Capitol building in favor of gun control.

It didn’t take long for Van Zandt to be called out on social media for his comments. Not deterred by the comments, he resumed his tirade. However, Van Zandt deleted the first tweet that he made about this situation. However, he followed this up by saying:

“To avoid spending half my day deleting Foxsucking scumbag Russian bots and MAGOTT cockroaches like you! Go take away some women’s rights, keep some Black people from voting, go harass a Trans event, go shoot some kids, do what Republicans do best, and get the fuck outta my feed!”

In 2016, Breitbart reported that Van Zandt said the best way to punish states passing “really evil and vile” religious freedom legislation was to “hurt them economically.”

He spoke with Rolling Stone at the time and said:

“It’s unfortunately the only way people understand. You have to hurt them economically in order to have them do the right thing morally, unfortunately,”

He then said:

“This vile and evil discrimination is starting to spread state to state, and we thought, ‘We better take a stand right now and catch it early.’”

Overall, Van Zandt made a lot of political comments that left many people with their feathers ruffled.
