According to The Blaze, former CIA, and FBI agents are not having difficulty finding a job once they leave the agency.

Social media platforms and big tech companies are more than happy to hire seasoned agents.

According to a report by the Daily Caller, some major players in both tech and social media have hired close to 250 employees from federal agencies. Along with the CIA and FBI, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security are also suppliers of personnel. The former federal employees are filling some of the top positions in these companies.

The Daily Caller notes other companies hiring former feds include TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and Twitter.

Former deputy assistant attorney general Reed Rubinstein told the Daily Caller Americans should be “concerned” about the “terrifying” integration of the Big Tech companies and the many federal agencies. He said, “The revolving door has been a feature of DC for as long as I can remember.

Any business that is heavily regulated is going to be concerned about managing the regulators, and one way to do that is by purchasing them.”

He continued, “As we saw with Jim Baker, they are still wearing - sometimes - two hats. They still talk informally to folks who are in the intelligence community, and so it’s not necessarily a clean break. In fact, what they pay for, is those relationships.” “The integration of Big Tech and the national security state... really it’s dystopian, it’s terrifying.

They have enough data to show that that power, which is immense, will be abused. And right now, there is no effective check on it.”

As an example, Twitter used direct recruitment as a means of hiring FBI agents with substantial years of experience with the bureau.

Other hires include a special agent with the FBI for over 25 years who transitioned to the position of Twitter’s security manager.

Another 23-year veteran of the Department of the Interior and the FBI became Twitter’s director of information security for the platform’s insider threat program.

Jake Denton of The Heritage Foundation’s Tech Policy Center told the Daily Caller, “As documented in the Twitter Files, social media platforms like Twitter can be easily weaponized by a small group of employees in consequential positions to quell free speech and influence the American public.

With the power of Big Tech constantly on the rise, Americans should be deeply concerned about the potential consequences of this revolving door between DC and Silicon Valley.”
