Ana Kasparian, co-host of "The Young Turks," has refused to apologize for her controversial views regarding transgender-inclusive language.

Kasparian had angered progressives by stating that women should not be referred to as "birthing persons" or "persons with uteruses." Despite criticism from her fellow progressives and transgender activists who called her "right-wing," Kasparian remained unapologetic.

Some on the left went as far as to accuse her of bigotry and urged her to stop tweeting about the issue. In response, Kasparian defended her position, stating that as a biological woman who has been told she is "less than" her entire life, she refuses to apologize for identifying as a woman.

However, Charlotte Clymer, an activist formerly with the Human Rights Campaign, argued that "birthing person" referred to the entire community of pregnant individuals, including trans men and nonbinary people.

Alejandro Carabello, a transgender attorney, and activist, also warned Kasparian that not using inclusive language could lead to dire consequences, citing a case in which a transgender man, who was biologically female, was denied proper medical care and lost his baby.

The use of transgender-inclusive language has been controversial, with many Democrats and liberal groups, including the Biden administration, dropping words like "mother" and "woman" from their language to appease the transgender community.

Major companies like Nike have also been criticized for paying transgender activists to model women's clothing.
