Yet another prosecutor backed by mega-liberal donor George Soros has run into allegations of negligence and misconduct.

This time, the prosecutor out of St. Louis is facing misconduct allegations. St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner has faced a history of misconduct allegations. She has been a lightning rod of controversy and remains controversial with many people.

She is facing allegations of admonishing her duties as a prosecutor because she needs to tackle some of the responsibilities she was supposed to take on as the prosecutor in St. Louis. In other words, she has yet to prosecute some cases many feel she should have taken on.

Fox News reports that the allegations have continued into this week with yet another round of allegations of negligence of her duties and much more. They report that a St. Louis judge sanctioned Gardner’s office after that office was accused of withholding evidence in a double homicide case and letting the accused individual out on bond.

Alex Heflin, 23, had been held without bond since January after being charged with two homicides, according to NBC affiliate KSDK. However, even those charges were reduced before the individual could be held to account for any of this. Heflin’s trial was initially set for April 17, but even that has been bumped back to June 12, and it could be bumped again if things don’t get better around the prosecutor’s office.

Fox News reports that Judge Theresa Counts Burke ruled in favor of Heflin’s attorneys this week when they made a motion that accused one of Gardner’s assistant circuit attorneys of violating their client’s rights because prosecutors did not turn over evidence that they had in the case. Some of the withheld evidence included DNA and the transcript of a 911 call.

Judge Burke wrote: “The court finds that there have been repeated delays by the state in obtaining discovery and providing it to the defense,” and “There has been a lack of diligence on the part of the state in following up and providing discovery to the defendant in a timely fashion. As a result of the state’s actions and lack of diligence, the court grants defendant’s second motion for sanctions.”

Circuit Attorney’s Office stated to Fox News that it is working diligently to achieve justice in this case. However, some are concerned that this is not truly the case because of the lack of effort they have made on this case and others.
