It’s been one week since a Minnesota mother dropped her children, who are 2 and 5, off at daycare in Winona.

After that, she went home. However, what happened next remains a mystery that police are still trying to solve.

Madeline Kingsbury hasn’t been seen since she dropped her children off at daycare on March 31. After that, she took her 2014 Chrysler Town and Country minivan back home. However, she never showed up for work.

According to NY Post, “The children’s father, who has not been named, told police he left the residence in the dark blue vehicle around 10 AM and that when he returned later in the day, Kingsbury wasn’t home.”

Police Chief Tom Williams states that it’s not like Kingsbury to not show up for a day at work. Williams went on to say that nothing indicates she left in another vehicle or even on foot. Even more intriguing is that her cell phone, the jacket she wore that day, keys, and wallet were found inside the house.

However, the store gets more interesting. According to the NY Post, “Investigators obtained surveillance video of a van matching the description of the couple’s vehicle traveling along County Road 12 and Highway 43 in Winona County and then in Filmore County between 10 AM and 1:30 PM.”

Police will not release information regarding who was behind the van’s wheel. Officials did say that the disappearance of Madeline Kingsbury is suspicious. They currently believe it was involuntary and are worried about her safety.

Police continue to intensify the search. A social media post encourages anyone in the area of the City of Winona, Wilson Township, and Hillsdale Township to search their property for anything that may help lead them to Madeline. They’ve asked that people search their land as well as outbuildings. Police would like anyone with security cameras to review the footage and keep a remarkable eye out for the dark blue minivan, especially on March 31 and April 1.

People say, “Kingsbury is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information on Kingsbury’s whereabouts is asked to call the Winona Police Department at 507-457-6302.”
