The Chicago Police Department’s Twitter page is now under investigation by internal affairs.

Guess what they did? They liked a tweet. However, the tweet the Police Department’s page liked was one from Travis Tritt about his boycott of Bud Light beers due to the brand’s collaboration with Dylan Mulvaney, a trans influencer.

Multiple screenshots of the Police Department liking the tweet were shared online. One person points out how irresponsible it is for a public official to like the tweet. By Friday, the tweet from Travis Tritt received over 20 million views, and the Police Department removed the like.

One person says that the like on Twitter may have been accidental. There’s a chance that an officer thought they were using their account and accidentally liked it from the official account for the Chicago PD instead.

Travis Tritt is one of the most recent people to boycott the brand, but he’s far from the only one. According to NY Post, “Tritt was just the latest high-profile personality to aim the Bud Light campaign that produced cans with Mulvaney’s face on them while celebrating the transgender influencer’s ‘365 days of womanhood.’” Kid Rock took it a step further by shooting his cans of beer.

Meanwhile, Mulvaney then announced a partnership with Nike, sparking more outrage. One person that is already boycotting Nike is Sharon Davies, a retired Olympic swimmer. As companies continue to go woke, Conservatives continue trying to make them go broke.

Trans-violence is at an all-time high, and Chicago is not known as the most trans-friendly city, which is another reason the like is raising eyebrows. In 2021, Chicago created LGBTQ+ Liason Program to build trust with the community. However, there was alleged internal conflict and little support for the program. According to the Sun-Times, “A source told the Sun-Times on Thursday that of the six officers initially assigned to the program, only one remained, and that person had been on leave for months.”
