Demonstrators blocked traffic at Paris airport and gathered in various cities throughout France in a monthlong demonstration of pure anger.
That protest Wednesday was one of the more shocking illustrations of how Macron’s plans to raise the national retirement age from 62 to 64 have infuriated workers. Fox News reports, “In Paris, rat catchers set the tone by hurling the cadavers of rodents at City Hall. Broadcaster BFM-TV showed the rodents’ emaciated corpses being tossed by workers in white protective suits.”
All the anger about pension reform has quickly morphed into a rage over various grievances, including salaries.

This round of protests marks the 11th protest since January. The first ten did not get Macron to change his tune, and we don’t see any change with the 11th one. There were talks on Wednesday between Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and trade union leaders, but those talks broke down fast, instantly setting the stage for more protests.

Around 100 protestors gathered at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport, disrupting traffic to Terminal 1. Those walking through had to walk around the flag-waving, occasionally yelling protestors.
Representatives said during an interview that protestors want to show France, and the rest of the world, that they only enjoy working once they are 64.

According to AP News, striker numbers have slightly declined, but that hasn’t stopped the rage of the protests. Police fired tear gas into the angry mob, the Eiffel Tower was closed, and Macron’s favorite restaurant was lit ablaze. Other fires were set, buildings had windows broken out, and more. Protestors are calling for another protest in a week and want to keep going until they can reach Macron.
