Democratic Representative Cori Bush of Missouri has tweeted that Republicans should revamp their current platform.

In her tweet, she proposed that instead of suppressing voters, Republicans should embrace policies that genuinely resonate with young voters. The congresswoman went on to suggest that the Republican party’s current platform comprises several unpopular features, including white supremacy, climate denial, homophobia, transphobia, union-busting, abortion bans, and gun violence.

The Missouri representative has also been vocal about her opposition to former President Donald Trump, who she refers to as the "former White-Supremacist-in-Chief." In a tweet earlier this week, Representative Bush, who uses "she/her" pronouns on social media platforms, rejected the assertion that promoting gender-affirming care for trans individuals counts as grooming.

In a recent hearing, the Democratic congresswoman chastised Republicans for championing what she deemed a misguided interpretation of the Second Amendment. Representative Bush emphasized that the perceived right to bear arms should not supersede the value of human life. She argued that Republicans' refusal to support common-sense gun regulations illustrates how they prioritize the Second Amendment over the safety of the American people.

Representative Bush resolved that the nihilistic and anarchic view of the Second Amendment could not prevail, and thorough public health measures were crucial to address the national epidemic of gun violence.

"Students being murdered at their desks is not enough for them to value lives over toys. Republicans want the U.S. to have an even higher share of the world's gun supply. They don't want common-sense regulations on gun ownership. Their perverted view of the Second Amendment compels them to argue against reasonable restrictions," Bush stated.
