Ohio Man Living Out Of His Car Shocks Police With This Gruesome Murder Confession

The confession was caught on body camera footage. After the admission, officers found her shot and lying in a pool of blood.

According to The Daily Mail, “Brian E. Mason, 58, was caught on body camera footage telling police in Miamisburg, Ohio, that he accidentally shot dead his friend, Michelle L. Elliott, 57, while demonstrating how to use his .40-caliber gun on March 26.”

He further explained that he was showing Elliott how to use the gun because she had asked for it. Then, the gun accidentally went off and shot her. First, he approached officers and announced he was there to turn himself in. After officers questioned him, he admitted what happened and told them he did not know if anyone else knew. He said he’d been scared since the incident. Mason further noted that his friend is deceased.

Officers were immediately dispatched to rural Union Township, where they found Elliot on the ground, in a pool of blood, and suffering from a gunshot wound. They first tried to knock on the door, but there was no response. When they saw the blood through a window, they knew they had to force their way inside.

Mason says he has been staying in his car. He claims that he was helping his friend with something, and she wanted the gun because she felt unsafe at her house. That was when the accident happened. Mason then said he panicked, covered her body with a blanket, and bailed. He spent the next 24 hours panicking and staying in his car. Then, almost a day later, he approached officers with a confession.

Authorities are investigating the matter while Mason is held on a $1 million bond. He has been arraigned on a murder charge.
