Levy, known for sharing viral clips via his Twitter handle @ViralNewsNYC, was forcibly pushed and grabbed by a large black man who repeatedly shouted expletives at him, and subsequently threatened to kill him as the two were pulled apart.
This attack occurred while Levy was filming George Santos, with a crowd of cameras around him, and the assailant, a member of the CBS News team covering the arraignment alongside Roxana Saberi, demanded that Levy move while attempting to knock his coffee out of his hand and elbowing him in the back.

In a statement to the Post Millennial Levy said, "I was filming George Santos, a huge crowd of cameras were around him. The guy that hit me started telling me I should move. He also tried to push my coffee of my hand and was elbowing me in the back. I told him to chill then he attacked me."

In response to the attack, Benny Johnson questioned whether the media was inviting violence, in a tweet, "What if it’s the media who is really the one inviting violence?" While the assailant's identity has been identified on Twitter, The Post Millennial has not corroborated this information. No arrests were made at the time of publication.
