According to NavalnyLive, a YouTube channel affiliated with the followers of imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Putin's vacation complex boasts several opulent features, including a hydro-massage bath, a cryo-chamber, a herbal sauna, and even its own missile defense system. This sprawling property, covering over 49 acres of land near the village of Krasnaya Polyana, is said to be protected by the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile system. The compound comprises two massive homes, guesthouses for staff, a helipad, and a private ski lift.
Reportedly, Putin's extravagant chalet was built around the time of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and is formally known as the "Welcome Residence for Official Guests 'Achipse,'" named after a nearby 8th-century fortress. According to obtained blueprints, the property is a four-story building covering about 41,000 square feet, with two of the floors located underground. The subbasement level is used for storage and various food preparation stations, including separate walk-in refrigerators for meat, fish, and other foods, separate areas for preparing cold and hot food, milk storage, and a pantry for pickles.

The below-ground level features a "huge" spa with a pool, salt and steam rooms, Finnish-style and herbal saunas, and a cryo-chamber, said to be Putin's must-have. Additionally, there is a hydro-massage bath and several small hot and cold plunge pools. The first above-ground floor contains a room for Putin's personal assistant, a spacious dining room, and two large master bedrooms.

It is claimed that Putin's notable concerns regarding his personal safety led to the construction of sprawling nuclear bunkers and his giving up his presidential plane in favor of an armored train. According to the report, a second, even larger home was constructed for Putin just 400 feet away from the first after the Winter Olympics. This property, dubbed "Putin's winter palace," spans over 90,000 square feet and houses a custom-made "Nicholas II" grand piano made in Germany costing around $76,000. It also contains several expensive items, such as a goose down blanket worth $1,800, Swarovski crystal-encrusted sconces ordered from the US costing $6,700, and a similarly priced mantle clock.
