Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL 23) was moving to get the topic of gun control back on the agenda yet again, as Democrats are known for frequently doing. However, Representative Greene wouldn’t let him get away with it quite so easily this time. She jumped on the topic and decided to make her voice heard regarding this debate.
Greene said: “When I was in 12th grade, and Joe Biden made our schools gun-free school zones, one of the students in my school brought three guns to school, and our entire school went on lockdown because he was the only person with a gun. There was no good guy with a gun to protect us kids at school.”

Greene is known for being a firebrand and not backing down from a fight. She certainly wasn’t going to back down from the fight that Moskowitz served up on a silver platter at this time.

The congresswoman noted that the most recent school shooting that took place in a Nashville school was done by a school shooter who was able to blast her way through the school doors and was able to shoot many people and kill six of them without being met by resistance from a school officer on site.

Katherine Koonce was a 60-year-old teacher who heard gunshots go off while on a Zoom call. She headed toward the shooter to save the lives of some of the children in the school. Without any weapon, Koonce was immediately shot and killed by the shooter.

The shooter, Audrey Hale, was said to have drawn up detailed plans about shooting attacks in many locations. However, it appears that Hale elected to go with the school because that is where she expected she would meet the least amount of security. Sadly, that appears to be exactly the case of what happened, and Hale was able to murder six people before police could arrive on the scene and finally take out the shooter. Some wonder if armed teachers might have been able to stop the shooter faster than the police were finally able to after all of this destruction.

MTG said clearly: “Do you want to know why the shooter is dead?...The trans shooter in Nashville? Because a good guy with a gun killed that woman. She identified as a man, she was mentally ill, probably taking hormones, and she went in and murdered children and adults in this Christian school in Nashville.”
