Governor DeSantis recently sat down with Eric Bolling from Newsmax for an interview.

During the interview, Bolling asked DeSantis if he would want to serve as Vice President under President Trump. However, DeSantis wanted more than that idea.

First, he said that he’s more of an executive. Then, according to the Gateway Pundit, “DeSantis continued, ‘I think that you want to be able to do things. That’s part of the reason I got into this job is that we have action.’”

Then, Bolling switched it around and asked about Trump being Vice President. However, DeSantis laughed that question off.

Then, the same Newsmax Host invited Sebastian Gorka, former Trump advisor, for an interview so they could discuss the remarks. He called the DeSantis interview an embarrassment. Then, he couldn’t resist the urge to take a shot at DeSantis.

Per The Gateway Pundit, “He took a major shot at DeSantis and said, ‘And now he shows us how big his ego is with you and says, “Oh, VP? No, no, no. I’m an executive.’ I guess being the second in line to the presidency. It’s just not good enough for Ron.’”

DeSantis has not announced a presidential run, but he’s still considered Trump’s top rival. Because of that, he’s included in the polls. In recent weeks, DeSantis has fallen in the polls in favor of former President Trump.

The Governor of Florida says that right now, he’s focused on the legislature in Florida, and he’ll have to see what happens with a Presidential run later on down the road. Beyond vague comments like that, he has yet to comment on whether he will run for President.

However, that doesn’t stop team Trump from taking jabs at DeSantis. DeSantis, however, takes the high road. According to Forbes, “DeSantis also did not criticize Trump directly after the ex-president has gone heavily after him in recent weeks, though he said he was ‘laughing at’ attacks Trump and other Republicans have leveled at him for being a ‘RINO’—’ Republican In Name Only’—because he said there “hasn’t been a bolder governor in the country” on conservative issues.”
