On Wednesday, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris delivered speeches to commemorate Women's History Month that were punctuated by some confusing comments.

Perhaps the most notable was Biden's mistake while touting his work on the Violence Against Women Act. Biden said, "You know but this builds on other steps you’ve taken and we’ve taken, like the most significant gun safety law in 30 years to help keep guns out of the hands of domestic political advisors," Instead of saying "convicted domestic abusers," he said "domestic political advisors," prompting the White House to issue a correction in their transcript of his remarks.

At another point during his speech, Biden remarked, "Jill has — puts messages on my mirror, where I’m shaving, so I make sure I see them. And one that was put in about a year ago was, ‘Stop trying to make me love you.'"

This is not the first time Biden has made a gaffe, as he also boasted in February that "more than half the women" on his team "are women" and in March told a bizarre story about a nurse whispering and breathing on him for a "human connection." Harris has also been the target of criticism for her "word salads," immortalized in a satirical Daily Show video.

Harris, in her turn to speak, said, "So, during Women’s History Month, we celebrate and we honor the women who made history throughout history who saw what could be unburdened by what had been." Adding her new phrase “history throughout history” to what’s been called by her critics Harris’s “word salad.”
