Federal Manhunt Underway For Former Maryland Governor's Chief Of Staff

His name is Roy McGrath, and according to the Washington Times, he has a home in Florida that was raised by authorities.

It has become a mystery, with many in Washington wondering what is happening. His attorney, Joseph Murtha, spoke with the Associated Press and said that law enforcement officials are attempting to determine where McGrath is at this time. They are trying to track him down because he has seemingly disappeared from their radars as of the time of this writing.

The Washington Times reports that the lawyer wasn’t sure why McGrath didn’t appear in court for his trial in Baltimore. The lawyer says this is particularly puzzling to him because the two shared a lengthy conversation late on Sunday night.

“I haven’t a clue. I didn’t see this coming,” said the lawyer, and followed this up with: “This behavior is so out of the ordinary for him. Obviously, his personal safety is a concern.”

Media reports indicate that McGrath’s wife was at their Naples, Florida, home during the raid and is fully cooperating with authorities in this case. They also report that she appears upset and confused about everything that has happened in their lives as a couple in the past week or so.

Right now, all we know is that McGrath did not show up for court as he was supposed to. The fact that he is not behaving as he typically would is concerning to the court and everyone that knows McGrath. They are highly concerned for his health and well-being. They’re also confused about how something like this could happen when McGrath has never been known to brush off his responsibilities.
