A 21-year-old pregnant woman was found dead on the street in Chicago covered in cash after allegedly trying to rob some drug dealers.

The Post Millennial reports that a group of drug dealers allegedly gunned down Genesis Escobar and her boyfriend after the pair allegedly attempted to rob the drug dealers. The boyfriend survived, but Genesis was found dead in the street.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Escobar was 7 months pregnant and that she allegedly met up with the drug dealers and got into their car to complete a drug transaction. However, they were shot when she and her boyfriend allegedly tried to rob the drug dealers. Allegedly, Escobar was shot several times before she “tumbled out of the car.”

The shooting happened around 1 PM in Chicago’s Northwest Side in the neighborhood of Belmont Cragin.

The New York Post reports that Escobar was shot and that the drug dealers “threw her body into the street” and “dumped a pile of cash” on her. Her boyfriend collected the cash.
