First lady Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken were dragged across Twitter after they presented an International Women’s Day award to a biological male from Argentina.

This news, according to Fox.

The annual International Women of Courage Awards ceremony was held at the White House and honored “11 extraordinary women from around the world who are working to build a brighter future for all,” based on a State Department press release.

Among those introduced at the ceremony, Argentinian Alba Rueda presented as a “transgender woman who was kicked out of classrooms, barred for sitting for exams, refused job opportunities, subjected to violence, and rejected by her family. But in the face of these challenges, she worked to end violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ plus community in Argentina.”

Fox News reports that Twitter lit up with people who were aghast at the idea that a biological male could be given an award initially designed to be given to a woman.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark. Wrote on Twitter saying: “It’s International Women’s Day – a good time to remember that Democrats can’t even tell you what a woman is.”

Dana Loesch, host of “The Dana Show,” also tweeted about this ceremony: “Nice of FLOTUS to encourage the diminishment of women on ‘International Women's Day.’ Erasing women is abusive.”

Conservative Twitter personality Andrea Katherine tweeted: “International Women’s Day: Not just for women anymore.”

Townhall columnist and radio personality Derek Hunter even joked about it by tweeting: “Apparently, men are a lot better at being women than women are. Step up your game, ladies.”

Many others lamented that they felt no one could take the United States seriously as a country after something like this. This display is the latest evidence that this country has far too much political correctness and that things have gotten out of hand.

News commentator and former congressional nominee Karoline Leavitt tweeted, “Why are the Democrats working overtime to push the trans agenda?”

A lot of general anger and mockery prevailed regarding the award given to someone who identifies as transgender. Many feel that this drags the value of the prize through the mud, as it is no longer something indeed awarded to women. The award originated to recognize the accomplishments of women.
