A new lawsuit is beginning to reveal some of Carlson’s anger toward Donald Trump.

The Associated Press reports that a new defamation report has revealed that Tucker Carlson stated plainly that he dislikes Trump. One text message reported on by the AP showed that Carlson said the following when referring to Donald Trump: “I hate him passionately.”

All of this comes when there has been an escalation between Trump and Fox. Interestingly, the AP reports that the story of Carlson’s disgust with the former President came simultaneously as Trump was touting Carlson and his program on social media. Trump stated that Carlson had done a “great job” by revealing never-before-seen videos of the events of January 6. Carlson has been accused of using those videos to paint a false narrative about the events of January 6. Still, Trump likes what Carlson has done with the videos and his coverage of January 6 overall. Despite this, it doesn’t seem like love goes both ways.

There are other problems for Fox to worry about right now, including the fact that voting machine manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems is actively suing Fox News for $1.6 billion for what they say are the network’s false claims about the quality of their voting machines. The case is set to go to trial in the spring, and documents have already been coming out about Fox’s relationship with Donald Trump and other figures.

One theme that appears to come from the court documents that have already been revealed is the fact that it appears that many Fox hosts did not feel that the claims that Donald Trump and his team were making were not accurate. However, they often went along with those claims anyway.

Some documents show a text conversation between Tucker Carlson and an unknown person on January 4, 2021. In the document, Carlson said: “We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights” and “I truly can’t wait.”. Carlson appears to be ready to move past the Trump chapter of coverage on Fox News.

The AP reported that Carlson has stated that he does not doubt that there was fraud in the 2020 election, but he also feels that Trump and his lawyers have so discredited media figures like himself that they have sunk the case.
