RedState reports that Doocy challenged her on Biden's apparent softness on the issue of China. One of the things that he specifically wanted to make clear was that there was only a tepid response when China recently sent spy balloons over the United States. This was something that many were concerned about, but it didn't seem like there was much of a reaction from the Biden White House about this.

RedState reports that many other journalists and media outlets in the press room agreed that Biden was "brave" for having made his recent trip to Ukraine. They are covering for what has been a disaster of a presidency that has faced an undue number of challenges, many of which are self-inflicted.

The critical thing to point out is that the Biden White House gave the Russians advanced notice that he would be traveling to Ukraine. He was never in any danger because Russia already knew he was coming. Besides that, when air raid sirens went off in the area, the Secret Service did not respond to this at all. They already knew the President was utterly safe while he visited Ukraine. On top of that, many other lower-level politicians and US officials have already visited Kyiv since the war started, and there wasn't nearly the fanfare Biden received for doing the same thing.

RedState points out that Doocy was correct when he made the point that the Chinese spy balloon was only shot down after it had completed its mission over US territory. After it was shot down, there was no retaliation action against the Chinese for having done this in the first place. Therefore, the Biden White House should hardly be applauded for taking down the Chinese balloon after it already did the work that it was sent to do. The classification of him as "brave" is something that many see as genuinely absurd.
