According to a report by The New York Post, Joe Rogan is one of the most powerful men in America.

His podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” is ranked the No. 1 podcast globally, which says a lot about Rogan’s popularity.

In the background, rumblings are ongoing about Rogan’s future with Spotify as a podcaster after the $200 million 3-year deal he made with the company in 2020 is running out of time. So far, The Post notes, Rogan won’t confirm if the gig is up, but his contract won’t end this year.

Rogan has the best of both worlds with Spotify. The non-exclusive deal means the company has no say over the content Rogan chooses to provide, but he must follow the company’s guidelines.

The outspoken podcaster has a history of saying what he thinks. Rogan has said in the past that “I talk s--- for a living.” Rogan has commented about the COVID vaccine, saying healthy young Americans didn’t “need to worry about” getting the jab. He has commented on transgender people and used the N-word.

Rogan’s latest comments drew criticism from Spotify staffers. On Joe’s podcast, he said, “The idea that Jewish people don’t like money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f---ing stupid.”

Director of the Anti-Defamation League Jonathan Greenblatt told The Post: “It’s disturbing that, at a time of rising anti-Jewish violence, when growing numbers of Americans believe in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, Joe would use his immense platform to spew anti-Semitic tropes about Jews and money. For centuries, people have used these longstanding tropes to spread vicious lies about the Jewish people."

Rogan’s estranged dad had a message for his son, saying, “Who are you to judge people? Who made you God last night?” Rogan Sr. told The Post, “I’m not prejudiced. Everybody has got to live, and I teach my kids that. This bothers me. The money went to his head, and his head got bigger than his hat - he fools people."

On the other hand, Spotify executives have “stuck by” Rogan. A Spotify source said, “His comments did adhere to the company’s policies,” noting “not everyone inside the company” was happy with the current policy.

During a March 2022 episode, Rogan said, “I will quit. If it gets to a point that I can’t do it anymore, I have to do it in some sort of weird way where I walk on eggshells and mind my p’s and q’s, f--k that.”
