The Blaze News reports that CNN refused to fire him after he made sexist comments about Republican Presidential Candidate Nikki Haley.
Lemon suggested that Haley was “past her prime” at age 51, and many people took issue with his comments for obvious reasons. He was blatantly sexist when he made these comments, which is undoubtedly not something that CNN should stand by. However, they have refused to step up and fire their host. Instead, they want to allow him to continue making sexist comments on the air.
CNN executives decided to allow Lemon to return to his show “CNN This Morning,” which he hosts with two women. This is even though he just made the sexist comments earlier this week. The network did announce that Lemon agreed to “formal training” in response to the incident. It is believed that this training may be about sexist comments.
