One example could be that he has used his immense online platform and presence to encourage other voters to vote republican actively actively actively. Most notably, he did this ahead of the mid-terms. Still, as an Independent, that doesn't necessarily prove that he is now right-wing.

Another example being used against Musk is his recent comments stating that he favors Florida governor Ron DeSantis for the next US President.
Another example that is being brought up is that once Musk took over Twitter, he allowed former President Donald Trump back onto the social media platform. "The Taliban is there too," Rogan pointed out, "Do you have a problem with the Taliban?" pointing out the hypocrisy that leftists are not accusing Musk of being a terrorist just because the Taliban use Twitter.
