Green Energy Isn't So "Eco" Friendly: Increasing Numbers Of Dead Whales Result From The Left's Climate Agenda

Nine whales, two sperm whales, and seven humpback whales have washed up dead on the shores of the East Coast.

Their deaths have no apparent cause, leading to activists calling for the halt of wind development offshore until they know why the whales are dead. Five of the whales washed up on New Jersey shores.

Cindy Zipf, the executive director of Clean Ocean Action, released a statement on January 9. According to Fox News, she said, “These multiple tragic deaths of mostly young, endangered whales are of no apparent cause; however, the only new activity in the ocean is the unprecedented concurrent industrial activity by over 11 companies in the region’s ocean, which allows the harassment and harm of tens of thousands of marine mammals.”

Zipf continued to point out that state and federal companies were going full speed with offshore wind developments and that their fast-tracking their projects might be the cause of this. Zipf isn’t the only one saying wind developments may be an issue.

Lisa Daidone is the President of Defend Brigantine Beach. She also slammed the offshore wind development projects, stating there is inadequate communication and there needs to be more time to research to determine the impacts the projects will have on the environment or nearby humans. She said a thorough investigation needs to be conducted.

However, within days a coalition of environmentalist groups, including the Sierra Club and Clean Water Action, slammed the accusations that it was offshore wind development. They said it was more than likely boats or fishing equipment and that it’s irresponsible to blame wind development projects without evidence.

However, that’s why so many people are calling for an investigation. There are more whale deaths after the start of these projects, so the two may be linked together. An investigation into the cause of their deaths is necessary to determine if there is evidence, but the Biden Administration doesn’t want that. It would put a halt to their massive green energy agenda.
