Democrat leaders throughout the country are already looking to ban gas stoves in significant cities that they run throughout the country.

Fox News reports that this is happening even as the Biden Administration has slowed down the same rules at the national level.

Cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City have already begun to work on passing bans on gas-powered stoves. Those cities are home to a combined 10 million Americans or more. Democrat leaders in these cities feel that a ban on gas-powered stoves would help reduce the amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the following in 2021:

“New York City is proof that it’s possible to end the era of fossil fuels, invest in a sustainable future, protect public health and create good-paying jobs in the process,” and “If the largest city in America can take this critical step to ban gas use, any city can do the same.”

After making those comments, Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a law to phase out fossil fuel usage in new buildings in New York City. The law takes place this year and mandates that all buildings in New York begin converting to being all electric. It is a requirement that goes into place stating that all buildings in the Big Apple must be all-electric by 2027 at the latest. This is one of the strictest mandates in the country.

Democrat Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan took some of the same approaches to clamp down on gas-powered equipment by saying:

“We are facing a climate disaster. It is up to Seattle and other cities to make the bold changes necessary to lower our greenhouse gas emissions.”

and

“Electrifying our buildings is an important step in the many actions needed to curb climate pollution.”

Regardless, many people are now interested in fleeing from these liberal cities, so they don’t have to worry about dealing with these lockdowns on freedom.
