There is no doubt that the LGBT community is pushing things on people who want nothing to do with what they offer.

Forcing people to do things that violate their beliefs is not freedom. It is nothing short of socialism.

Ivan Provorov plays hockey for the Philadelphia Flyers. His team has been dupped into wearing gay pride jerseys. Except Provorov does not want to wear one because it violates his convictions.

The Western Journal reported that “Provorov declined to come out for the pregame warm-up during a Tuesday night NHL game against the Anaheim Ducks because he felt he could not, in good conscience, wear the Flyers’ ‘Pride Night’ warmup jersey.”

Members of the team thought it would be a good idea to force every player to warm up with clothing and hockey sticks decked out in gay pride colors.

The Western Journal also reported that Provorov said, “I respect everybody and I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”

The hockey player is a man of conviction, and he is not about to violate what he believes in because a group of people wants to force everyone else to represent what they stand for.

The sad part is that the player was viciously attacked for standing up for his beliefs. The Western Journal also pointed out that “Thankfully, Provorov’s coach — NHL legend John Tortorella — had his player’s back, telling reporters he wouldn’t consider scratching the defenseman from the lineup for refusing to don the warmup gear.”

The gay pride movement loves to promote being faithful to one’s beliefs. But when someone’s beliefs stand in the way of their agenda, they demand that the other person change and accept gay pride. They violate their own beliefs by demanding that everyone else accept their ways.

But at least for one moment, one player decided to do the right thing and not bow to the pressure of people wanting him to conform and violate his beliefs.
