According to The Blaze News, Arkansas Gov.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders began signing executive orders almost immediately after she was sworn in on Tuesday. One of the orders she signed was to ban the term “Latinx” in all state government documents. The order insists that the terms “Latinx,” “Latinx,” “Latinxs,” and “Latinxs” be replaced with “Hispanic,” “Latino,” or “Latina.”.

The order reads as follows:

“One can no more easily remove gender from Spanish and other romance languages than vowels and verbs from English.”

“It is the policy of the Governor’s administration to prohibit the use of culturally insensitive words for official state government business.”

Sanders served in the Trump White House as press secretary for a portion of the President’s terms. Her loyalty at that time earned her the backing of former President Trump when she decided to take a stab at running for the Governor’s mansion in Arkansas. She won that race and is now the first woman to serve as Governor of Arkansas.

Her father, Mike Huckabee, served as Governor of Arkansas from 1996 until 2007.

Former President Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to congratulate Sarah Huckabee Sanders on being sworn in as Governor of Arkansas:

“CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah Huckabee Sanders on being sworn in today as the first female Governor of the GREAT STATE of ARKANSAS. She is a fantastic person and will be a truly incredible Governor,”

Last year, Sanders revealed that she underwent a successful procedure to help deal with a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. She put out a statement on this that read:

“During a check-up earlier this month, my doctor ordered a biopsy on an area of concern in my neck, and the test revealed that I had thyroid cancer,”

“Today, I underwent successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes, and by the grace of God, I am now cancer-free.”

She is wasting no time at all getting to work making the changes in Arkansas that many in the state believe need to be made immediately. Many are encouraged by all she has done already, and they look forward to what she will come out with next.
