Some Good News: Bills Safety Hamlin Shows Some "Remarkable" Improvements

There is some excellent news about the health condition of Bills Safety Hamlin, as his teammates say that he is awake and showing signs of improvement.

Fox News reports that Elam tweeted that Hamlin is “awake and showing more signs of improvement.”.

He also tweeted:

“Our boy is doing better, awake, and showing more signs of improvement,”

and

“Thank you, God. Keep the prayers coming, please. All love 3!”

Hamlin has been in critical condition in the hospital since Monday. It appears he suffered from cardiac arrest after a hit he took on Monday in his team’s contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hamlin fell backward onto the field after sustaining a hit in the game. He was administered CPR on the field before being carted off in an ambulance to take him to a nearby hospital.

The Bills provided an update stating that Hamlin was improving and appeared to be neurologically intact.

The collapse on the field left members of the NFL stunned, and it was a moment that no one who was there and no one who witnessed it on television would soon forget.

“[Bills] S Damar Hamlin opened his eyes last night and is responsive. Truly incredible.”

and

“One thing that’s very clear from speaking to those close to him: they are endlessly appreciative of the medical care given to Hamlin on the field immediately, then over the last 72 hours.”

Many have reported that they are sharing their thoughts and prayers for the improvement of Hamlin’s health moving forward.

Agency 1 Sports also made a statement on the situation and said the following:

“The outpouring of support for Damar across the nation has been amazing,” and followed that with: “Thank you for the calls, messages, and emails. Damar has made substantial improvement overnight. We are so thankful for all the first responders, doctors, hospital staff and everyone who has played a role in this process.”

Many people are thrilled to hear that Hamlin appears to be improving his health, and we hope to get more good news about this moving forward.
