Fox News reports, “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is mandating that all state universities report expenditures and resources for campus activities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and Critical Race Theory initiatives.“
Universities received a letter from DeSantis making the request. The letter states, “[T]his letter is a request for information from the Department of Education and the State University System regarding the expenditure of state resources on programs and initiatives related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and Critical Race Theory within our state colleges and universities.”

DeSantis doesn’t just want to know how much money is being spent on Critical Race Theory. He’d also like to know about staff hired, activities, and any other expenses or activities related to Critical Race Theory. Per Fox News, “The memo mandated that each Florida College System and State University System institution provide a “comprehensive list of all staff, programs, and campus activities related to” DEI and CRT.”

Right now, we don’t know the long-term goal behind this memo. Instead, the governor’s office said it is simply fact-finding. However, it can’t be suitable for Critical Race Theory.

DeSantis fights against Critical Race Theory every chance he gets to keep wokism at bay. Per Fox News, “He has introduced legislation banning CRT in classrooms and corporate settings, such as employee training, through a piece of legislation coined the “Stop WOKE ACT.” The Florida DOE previously enacted a rule to prevent CRT-inspired content in the state’s K-12 schools.”
Many conservatives feel that it’s a blessing to have people like Governor DeSantis fighting for our children.
