Many cities around the country have fallen victim to higher crime rates, and the reasons why all point to liberals that sit in critical positions of leadership.
Hannah Meyers is a Fellow at Manhattan Institute. The Daily Caller reported that Meyers stated, “Drops in arrests have been spurred by, among other things, policies that dissuade officers from engaging suspects, such as NYC’s diaphragm law. This increases the potential risk to cops of either physical injury or professional, legal, and reputational consequences from grappling with suspects.”
The falloff in crime rates in some areas is not that crime is decreasing. In some instances, police officers can get into trouble if they try and arrest a person for certain crimes. But instead, officers refuse to engage in certain instances because the liberals have made it impossible for law enforcement to do their jobs.

Heritage Foundation, The Daily Caller reported senior Legal Fellow Cully Stimson as pointing out that “In 2015 there were 493 homicides, but in 2016 when she enacted her hands-off, pro-criminal approach, homicides spiked to 778 her first year, and through 2021 have averaged 680 per year.”

Democrats bragging about crime rates falling off fail to mention that those same rates are still higher than they were a few years ago before they took their leadership positions.

The regions in question found that the liberals pushed to defund police and reorganize police forces into agencies that had their hands tied. They could not engage criminals on the street because the Democrats in power made it impossible for them to do their jobs. And as a result, the criminals took over and started committing more acts of violence.
