In a special report by Just the News and sponsored by Heritage Action for America, Walt Heyer, who transitioned back to male, rejects the gender ideology promoted today.

Heyer said, “I haven’t found one person that actually has gender dysphoria.” “I have found that they have generalized dysphoria.”.

Heyer was one of the first transgender women when he made the change 40 years ago. He transitioned back to male a long time ago and today rejects the idea of a transgender person.

Heyer said on The New Foundation for American Greatness news special, “People who identify this way are struggling with either bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, body dysmorphia, depression, or some underlying comorbid issue.”

Heyer continued by saying, “Nobody’s born transgender.” “The truth is transgender people don’t exist. There is no such thing as a transgender person.”

The transition from male to female began for Heyer in the 1980s when he chose the name Laura Jensen. Heyer said his grandmother dressing him up in a dress when he was four years old, along with being molested sexually, led him to identify as transgender.

“My grandmother was a seamstress making women’s clothing, and she was babysitting me. I became very interested in what she was doing as a 4-year-old kid. I was mesmerized by what my grandma was doing and eventually showed an interest in cross-dressing at 4. As you know, 4-year-olds are curious about everything.”

When Heyer began his transition, he says, “I decided to see a gender specialist. Never go to a gender specialist. They will destroy your life. That’s their whole purpose. It destroyed my life. ‘You have gender dysphoria, and what you need are hormones and surgery; That was in 1981.”

Heyer began studying psychology at the University of California Santa Cruz, which led him to understand no one is born transgender. Those struggling with gender dysphoria usually have underlying issues, which could be body dysmorphia or depression.

In his book “Trans Life Survivors,” Heyer compiled 30 first-person accounts of people who found out that promises made about gender change are an illusion.

According to Heyer, “We need to stop using the word gender dysphoria, stop using the word transgender and stop saying transitioning because I haven’t found one person that actually has gender dysphoria. I have found that they have generalized dysphoria.....so I think we need to own the language. We’re using the LGBT language, and we’re hurting ourselves by using their terminology.”
