Southwest Airlines left thousands of travelers stranded over the holidays.

While there were other flights from other airlines that were canceled, the vast majority of them were from Southwest airlines. According to one Fox News contributor, it’s because of capitalism.

The Blaze reports, “Outdated systems and brutally cold winter weather are being blamed for the problems, but that is no consolation to stranded travelers.”

Some blame the transportation department. According to The Blaze, “Republicans, and even some Democrats, are partially blaming Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for the meltdown. They argue he has abdicated his vocational responsibilities, which include responding to transportation crises.”

Richard Fowler, a guest co-host on “The Five,” disagrees. He was asked if Democrats were embarrassed by how Buttigieg handled things and has for the past few years. According to Fowler, it has nothing to do with him.

Per The Blaze, “‘Ninety percent of the flights canceled in the United States today are from Southwest Airlines because you have bad management, they have bad software,’ he said. ‘You can’t blame the flight attendants; you can’t blame the pilots; you can’t blame the ramp agents.’”

The article continues, “‘You have to blame the people who sit in the corporate suites of Southwest Airlines for canceling flights. Period. The end of the story,’ Fowler declared. ‘To blame Pete Buttigieg for the fact that Southwest can’t manage their planes is ridiculous.’”

He went on to state that it was simply capitalism. Southwest Airlines doesn’t know how to manage capitalism. However, the government has some power that it could have used. We’ve seen them mobilize buses to help people.

Instead of getting stranded Americans to their destination, the government reminded Southwest Airlines that stranded passengers are entitled to meal vouchers. However, if it involved getting illegal immigrants into the country instead of Americans, the Biden Administration would be on top.
