Military Gone Soft: West Point Academy Is Removing History From Its Campus

Students of West Point are finding out that the history they have been taught is being changed because the school removed 13 markers about the Confederacy.

They targeted an image of General Robert E. Less and many other essential items related to American history.

Just the News reported that “West Point made the removals following Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s approval of a congressional commission’s recommendations. The school said the ‘historical artifacts will be professionally and respectfully handled’ and ‘relocated to appropriate sites, including museums or other suitable venues.’”

The removal of the items comes at a time when a minority seeks to rewrite American history. They systematically attacked important monuments and infiltrated the public school system with their lies.

The New York Post reported that Lt. Gen. Steven W. Gilland stated, “During the holiday break, we will begin a multi-phased process, by Department of Defense (DoD) directives, to remove, rename or modify assets and real property at the United States Military Academy (USMA) and West Point installation that commemorate or memorialize the Confederacy or those who voluntarily served with the Confederacy.”

Under President Joe Biden’s leadership, the federal government is bowing to the pressures of people who hate anything to do with the dark side of American history. They desire to force people to adopt an alternative view of history that subtly puts American founders as the enemy.

The New York Post also reported that “Also set for removal is a trio of bronze panels that depict some important events and figures in US history — including Ben Franklin and Clara Barton — as well as Lee and other Confederate figures, and a hooded figure with the words’ Ku Klux Klan’ written below.” The Democrats hate the idea of telling the truth behind American history.
