Russell Jacoby is the professor emeritus of history at the University of California Los Angeles. He told the country that conservatives were fearful of the influence of liberalism and how it would change the culture of the country. He dismissed the fears and embraced the idea that the fears were not warranted.
But decades later, Jacoby has admitted that the conservatives he made fun of were right.
The Daily Wire reported that Jacoby stated, “In 1987 I published ‘The Last Intellectuals: American Culture in the Age of Academe’ which elicited heated responses. Only now do I see I got something wrong — as did my critics.”

He went on to lament, "I argued that the conservatives should awake from their nightmare of radical scholars destroying America and relax; academic revolutionaries preoccupied themselves with their careers and perks. If they made waves, they were confined to the campus pool.”

The influence that liberalism has had on the minds of the younger generation has destroyed the culture. And it is only after several decades that people listen to conservatives and realize they are right.

The Daily Wire also reported that he stated, “In my own department in 10 years we went from accepting over a hundred students for graduate study to under 20 for a simple reason. We could not place our students. The hordes who took courses in critical pedagogy, insurgent sociology, gender studies, radical anthropology, Marxist cinema theory, and postmodernism could no longer hope for university careers.”
In a silent but effective fashion, people have come to realize that what liberalism promises is nothing but a pack of lies. And they want nothing to do with it.
