He has done it again with a story about his uncle winning a Purple Heart for his service in WWII.
According to the New York Post, he was speaking with veterans in Delaware on Friday when he told a false story about his life.
Biden told the following story:
December 20, 2022
“My dad, when I got elected Vice President,” he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge — but he said, ‘And he won the Purple Heart, and he never received it. He never got it. Do you think you could help him get it? We will surprise him,’”

The official White House transcript showed that the next thing that he said was:
December 20, 2022
“So we got him the Purple Heart. He had won it in the Battle of the Bulge. And I remember he came over to the house, and I came out, and [my father] said, ‘Present it to him, okay?’ We had the family there.”

He continued by talking about things his uncle told him about his time serving his country.
The problem with this whole story, as the Western Journal puts it, is that Biden’s Uncle died six years before his election as Vice-President of the United States. Thus, the story is fake.

The New York Post did some additional digging into the story and discovered that Biden’s uncle’s tombstone does not mention a Purple Heart (something that typically goes on the tombstones of those who have won that honor). The paper also discovered that the registry of Purple Heart winners does not mention Biden’s uncle anywhere in it either.

However, despite this evidence that the story is fake, most of the media outside of the New York Post is not mentioning the false story. It is just the latest in a series of cover-ups of false stories told by the current President.
