The Wall Street Journal reports that The Washington Post lost approximately 500,000 subscribers last year. The subscription base they enjoyed at the beginning of 2021 when Trump was still President hovered around 3 million. However, it now sits at just about 2.5 million. This follows on the heels of a report by the New York Times that suggests that the Washington Post is struggling financially. A piece by the New York Times that was reported in the Washington Post includes the following:
"The organization is on track to lose money in 2022, after years of profitability, according to two people with knowledge of the company's finances. The Post now has fewer than the three million paying digital subscribers that it had hailed internally near the end of 2020, according to several organization members."

Fred Ryan, the chief executive and publisher of the Washington Post proposed cutting around 100 jobs at the newspaper. This is based on New York Times reporting from people who know the inside situation at the Washington Post. The cuts could be packed alongside other measures that alter how the newsroom is run going forward. Right now, the newsroom has about 1,000 people working in it.

The Washington Post does not have the same editorial standards as other newspapers and networks. Instead, the Washington Post is willing to cover left-wing lies that have been allowed to spread throughout the left-wing media. There have been numerous stories covered by the Washington Post that other outlets have not covered because those other outlets had the common sense to understand that at least some of these stories were not worth protecting.
