Jemele Hill's new memoir is failing to sell very many copies at all.

She is a host on SportsCenter on ESPN, and expectations were relatively high for her memoir to do well.

The book she put out is supposedly about the uphill battle that Jemele Hill has had to overcome due to fighting against racism in the United States.

Breitbart reports that The New York Times left some fawning reviews over this book even before it came out. Deadspin even got word from Hill that she hoped this book would launch her into becoming a "bestselling author," She felt that this book might have the power to bring her to those levels.

Hill has a significant following on Twitter of approximately 1.45 million, and her book was featured as one of Oprah's favorite non-fiction books of 2022. Despite the lack of sales of this book so far, Outkick is reporting the following:

"The sales for the memoir are on par with self-published cookbooks from aspiring authors who write as a side hustle."

Jemele Hill's career on SportsCenter could have been going better, too. Her two programs on the network were quickly canceled due to their poor ratings.

Given all of the poor showings on television and other failings in her career, it is hard to understand who put it in Hill's head that she could write a book that would climb the charts up to become a best-seller. Someone put this idea in her mind, but it appears far from a likely outcome.

This is another example of a failure from the Fake Elite Bubble of supposed influencers on the Left. For example, Breitbart reports that AOC's recent movie hit the theaters and generated an average of just $81 per theater that it was in.

However, if you were to believe the mainstream media, then Jemele Hill is a superstar bound to be a real star. They look only at the millions of followers she has on Twitter and somehow believes that translates to true popularity with the public. However, that is not how it works in the real world. People are not as interested in listening to tired old liberal ideas that they have heard time and time again.

Besides that, in these times of high inflation under Biden, people aren't interested in paying $25 for a book like this.
